Where did you hear about It’s Amazing! ZT and how did you get involved?

My children asked me to come with them to Auntie Lisa. I visited the whole day. At the end of that day I asked Auntie Lisa if there wasn’t a job available for me to keep me busy.

How long have you been involved?

I began in January 2014, 2 years and 10 months.

What do you do at It’s Amazing! ZT?

I’m a teacher for Babbelbekkies Badsberg Close. Weekdays I help give porridge in the mornings and food in the evenings for the children. Thursdays I join the kids for an aerobics class. Tuesday evenings I help with the Monique support group for teenage girls. Wednesday afternoons, I am a teacher at Kids’ Club and Tuesday afternoons I help at the free play programme.

What does it mean to you to be part of It’s Amazing! ZT?

It means a lot to me. I learn a lot from the Bible and how to handle my own children better. The other teachers are a great inspiration to me.

What is your greatest happiness?

The lessons that we teach the children at Babbelbekkies and Kids Club. Also being with the team (the other teachers) at It’s Amazing! ZT.

What is your greatest sadness?

To see how the kids in our community have to look after themselves and when other people want to bring me down.

Hobbies?

I like to make jokes (to be funny), to play football, to do arts and crafts and to eat a lot.

Favourite scripture from the Bible?

Psalm 121

Anything else you want to say?

I just want to thank everyone for being such an inspiration to me and helping me get to where I am today.
